New Year Resolutions for Herbalists
Follow me this month while I try to clear out my own chaos and get a few tips on how to get your herb cabinet and/or business back in order! January is a perfect time for reflection and planning, but also, we have time for getting things done since the rush of garden season is still a few months away, the snow keeps us at home a bit more....as does the promise of a warm house and hot cup of tea. Each day, I am going to tackle something that needs constant care or attention, but that is often left to become dysfunctional as the year goes on. Will this be the year, I actually keep on top of things? Who knows...but if not, I will repost next year!

Be a Blog Hog!
I write my blog, Herbalist's Journal, and many of you do too. I started my own blog because I loved reading about what others were up to and noted that while we all have similar interests, each of us has a unique perspective and something from our own souls to offer. So periodically, I spend an hour here and there to read a month's worth of another herbal blog. There are thousands out there on the internet, but a good place to start would be a cool website that offers a list herbal blogs:

I decided to read a new blog each month. So far, I have found many points of view I like, some I do not...some I wonder how they could possibly have time to do everything--but then remember how much energy people have when they are really young.....some are extremely inspirational, some glitzy, some plain and down to earth. I have learned something from each one. Just one caveat--don't get overwhelmed or jealous by what others are doing. As long as you are working with herbs in a way that you like, then your service is as useful as anyone else's.
